AudioBoo: NoMoreArt and the Cocoon CMS

I took the chance to ask Marty Neil the other day about what he’s up to at SXSW wearing his AirPOS and NoMoreArt hats.
In this AudioBoo Marty talks about Cocoon – the new CMS from NoMoreArt. Marty reckons that despite the growing market presence of Wordpress, and other content management systems, there is still a place for more modest and easy to use platforms.

Marty Neill
I had a chance to meet with Marty Neill of AirPOS earlier. Marty is rather well known on the Twitterverse. Indeed he was named by a local newspaper here in Northern Ireland as our most influential Twitterer!
He’s not so sure about that – but he does make a habit of building successful online businesses.
Martin’s latest venture is AirPOS – a cloud based solution that unites the online and offline worlds of etailing and retailing. In this AudiBoo he tells me a little bit more about the product and why he’s taking it to SXSW.

Today I popped over to InvestNI and met with Lee Munroe and Chris Martin - both of whom are joining several other Northern Ireland companies attending the SXSW Interactive event in Austin, Texas later in the month.
Lee is a freelance Web 2.0 designer who builds Web Services compliant web sites and applications. Chris is a film producer who now produces across media. FilmTrip aligns music with web resources to create a unique musical journey around Belfast – however the product is equally applicable to New York, San Francisco or…Austin Texas.

Why are you attending SXSW?
We are looking to develop relationships with agencies as a specialist in interactive media, grow our following within social media to extend our reach and promote our own in-house mobile product ‘Rock Out’.
What type of people do you want to meet there?
Digital Agencies within the games and entertainment sector, entertainment based clients, possible collaborators on projects e.g. illustrators, web designers and industry bloggers/influencers.
